The Handstand - great for presentations!

image

The Handstand is a tool that’s perfect for multi-media presentations, demonstrations, and for using apps that need quick orientation changes.

It provides a good grip and easy manipulation of the iPad. It’s comfortable, too. I have a small hand and it works fine for me. I think a larger hand would be even more comfortable with it.

It doesn’t add a lot of weight, which is also great.

Cooking with the FridgePad - love it!

image

One of my favorite apps is Paprika Recipe Manager. I use it in the kitchen almost everyday, but I worry about getting food or liquid on my iPad. But now, with the FridgePad, I can hang my iPad on the refrigerator out of the way of food and liquid spills. Perfect!

You can use the FridgePad to read recipes; check your email, the news, travel info, and weather; listen to music or watch videos.

Kindergarten: 21 in 1 Pack is well worth the money

image

Kindergarten: 21 in 1 Pack is well worth the money. Although it was developed for Kindergarten age, it is useful for other ages as well. It's an app that will be useful for a number of years as a learning tool, enrichment or review. The app includes seven different features:

Ancient Rome app by Britannica Kids

image

Ancient Rome, created by Encyclopedia Britannica Kids, is an app that both parents and kids will enjoy. It’s educational AND fun!

The app is divided into segments that you choose from a wheel at the bottom of the screen:

Goosed-Up is Hilarious and Fun!

image

Here’s another children’s book app developer that got it right – Goosed Up HD is colorful, entertaining and fun. This is not a book formatted for an iPad. This is the new animated, electronic book that makes reading fun!

Pad Strap for iPad

image

Is your iPad too slippery? Are you afraid it will fall out of your hands, but you like the “naked” look? Try the Pad Strap.

The Pad Strap, made of two leather “pockets” and an elastic strap, hooks over two opposite corners. This provides a secure way to hold your iPad without keeping it in a case.

I like the idea. It works well and feels fairly secure. I’m not sure if the elastic will stretch out over time, but it appears fairly stable. It doesn’t add weight and doesn’t get in the way.

5 Stars for Portability - Verbatim Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard

image

What I like:

It folds in half and stores in a nifty case, which makes it very convenient for me to carry it in my purse. I’m not sure that would be a benefit for men unless they carry their iPad in a large case, backpack or a “man” bag. But for me, it’s great. The Apple keyboard took up more room in my purse.

It uses 2 AAA batteries. I’d rather carry two extra batteries in my purse than a charger. Again, it’s the bulk issue.

Dropkick - 5 Stars for Simplicity!

image

I’m a To-Do List junkie. I think I own everyone out there. With each new one I get, I find something I like better about it than the previous one. Today, I want to tell you about Dropkick.

Warning: You won’t like this app if you’re looking for a sophisticated organizer. Instead, I recommend Omni Focus. But for the rest of you, read on:

Good News Bible app - a great gift for children or new believers!

With the Good News Bible app, you can read the Bible and learn about the Bible, all in one app! The app contains the text of the New Life Good News Bible, both the Old and New Testament.
