Improve critical thinking with Analogies 4 Kids

image

Analogies are comparisons that point out relationships between two or more different things. For example: cat : kitten as dog : puppy. By providing your child with practice in correctly identifying analogies, you’ll not only help him improve his IQ and placement test scores, but you'll also improve his analytical thinking, problem solving, perception, spatial skills, memory and creativity.

Omni Focus for the iPad - I like it better than the desktop version!

image

The first thing you need to know is that Omni Focus for iPad is NOT a beefed-up version of Omni Focus for iPhone. The iPad app has been created specifically for the iPad. It takes full advantage of the iPad’s larger real estate and has features not found on the iPhone version.

Quick and easy charging for your iPhone!

image

Here’s a recharging solution for your iPhone that’s easy to carry and HANDY! The Konnet PowerEZ Plus External Rechargeable Battery with stand not only transfers almost a full day’s charge back into your iPhone, but it also acts as a stand. You can watch a video while it’s charging!

I especially like that it’s small enough to fit in a pocket or purse. It charges via USB cable on you iPhone charger or laptop. Super easy and super quick. Love it!

Woo Hoo - finally got an iPhone 4 case in pink!

My Marware SportGrip Edge arrived today and it’s perfect!

The soft band fits tightly around the iPhone’s edges, so my iPhone still looks like an iPhone. I like that. I think they call this the “minimalist” look.

Although it’s super cool looking, it still provides protection against light bumps for the edges, corners, front and back. Marware even includes two clear protective films, one for front and one for back, as well as a cleaning cloth with the case. The protective films protect against scratches.

Are you looking for a way to entertain your preschooler? Teach him or her the letters of the alphabet? Either way, here’s an app to do it, and you’ll discover that you’ll be entertained as well!

Preschoolers have fun learning with Preschool Memory Match

Preschool Memory Match might be for preschoolers, but I had fun with it, too!

How to stay on task with OmniFocus

image

Juggling school, work, volunteer activities and personal time is not easy. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for a better way to prioritize and manage my time. I recently received a review copy of the OmniFocus iPhone app (Omni Group (http://www.omnigroup.com) along with the OmniFocus desktop application for Macintosh. After working through the tutorials and using the OmniFocus system for the last three month, I’m delighted to say I’ve found the perfect solution for me!

Update on Bento

After using Bento for a few more weeks, I am really sold on it! It’s the best database I’ve found that works with an iPhone app and I’ve tried them all. The Bento app is simple, but it serves its purpose. The real workhorse is the desktop application.
