Seriously. I'm really starting to get irritated. When are they sending the WiFi fix?

Previously released on the iPhone, the iPad edition takes full advantage of the larger screen, bringing it full circle from the original Broken Sword PC game released nearly 15 years ago. I played both the original PC version (released in the US under the title Circle of Blood) and Astraware's Pocket PC port (winning the number two spot in my Top 10 Games for 2007). I expected the iPad version to be yet another port of this classic title, but was pleasantly surprised when the opening credits and a notable amount of the story were different. Most of all, I was thoroughly captivated by the polished graphic and sound quality this engrossing interactive title had to offer.

Well, I am at Chicago O'Hare, waiting for my flight to Stockholm, Sweden, where I'll be giving a presentation on trends and concepts in mobile computing. The plan is that I'll woo the audience by whipping out my iPad and do a long Keynote presentation on it. It should work, in theory. Best Buy had the requisite iPad dock-to-VGA converter in stock, and the iPad version of my Keynote presentation looks almost identical to the original. The only issues I noticed are that my 3D graphics where converted into 2D, and the iPad version cannot pick a small part of a larger QuickTime file, so I had to crop that file.
I like that the iPhone and the App Store have helped forge new flavors of apps and games. Back in the geeky days of early mobile games, there would not have been much room for a title like Phoenix Spirit from Spearhead games. A game about healing the forest. Phoenix Spirit has a few control challenges (but you could say that for many iPhone games), but the dark forest scenes, music and quirky overall theme work for me. I especially recommend this for kids into mystical stuff (i.e.
News reports today are saying that over 2 million iPads have now been sold — in less than two months. It went on sale in Europe and Asia late last week, and people lined up to get them. Clearly Apple has a winner. Plus, there are now over 5,000 apps written specifically for the iPad. I can tell you that everyone who sees mine wants one. They say things like, "You're so lucky to have one." It's amazing the attention that it attracts. In fact, sales have been so strong that there have been shortages in the U.S.
Very cool this... If you use Ubuntu, the latest version (10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx), is finally out-of-box compatible with the iPhone OS, meaning no jail-breaking or compiling of anything to connect to your Ubuntu desktop. I'm likely in the minority on our blogs that use PC technology (both at work and play). I have an iPod touch, but I follow and post on just about anything tech-related. This post is for iPhone PC people, interested in the free and easy to use Ubuntu Linux OS. You can run it from a USB stick, and now it's more compatible with your Apple devices.
Hi iPhone Life'rs. Yes, its been awhile, but I'm like that. I get busy. However, when I got this email from Occipital, I HAD to post up. The version that is on the site now is NOT the full power version, but its still pretty useful. When you take a picture, it will shoot 3 times and pick the best of for you. Pretty cool right there, but wait there's more... well, there will BE more soon when they do the next version. In the coming version, you will be able to increase both the sharpness AND resolution of a picture. Go here for more info:
I went and grabbed the app update in the App store, and after starting it, noted that my zone indicated it needed an update. Both my Sonos ZoneBridge and S5 were updated in a few quick steps. In mere minutes, I was enjoying the newly added iheartradio... Be patient though. The update process does have to download files and restart the Sonos devices in your zones, and warns that you shoundn't stop the app during the process...Read on for more update screenshots, and feature details...
One of my first reviews here at iPhoneLife... For years, the Paragon folks have been making mobile reference material for a variety of OS flavors. Now they have added iPad support to several of their dictionaries. I know it's exciting news--you never know when you might need one... Read on for the full press release...
