House Of Marley makes an ever-expanding line up of excellent products. Not only do they make high-quality accessories that function exquisitely, but also, their commitment to providing us with the best products, produced in the most eco-friendly manner is respectable and commendable.
I'm a big fan of House Of Marley, in part because of their business ethic and in part because of their precision crafted, well-functioning tech-tools. The House Of Marley catalog is filled with stylish, colorful, expressive and practical gear and accessories for your iLife. From the Bag Of Rhythm to the Lively Up backpack, you can rest assured that when you choose House Of Marley, you are choosing a product that raises the bar for “cool”, while also leaving a minimalistic environmental footprint.
If you follow me online (Click HERE or HERE for more on House Of Marley), you likely already know that House Of Marley is one of my favorite developers of iOS accessories and gear out there. Taking the Honarable Robert Nesta Marley's timeless vision of love and "inity" his many offspring have formed various charitable foundations to spread that love, while consciously raising awareness, as well as funds for children in need. In particular, House Of Marley has created an outstanding line up of products to support us in our iOS enjoyment. Now House Of Marley and Apple have officially teamed up to raise money for the charity "Little Kids Rock" which helps support music education in "under-served" schools.
Lili ($5.00) is the fantastic new game from the veteran video game designers at BitMonster. While it may be their first collective foray into the world of iOS games under their current indie business incarnation, each one of the six senior developers has impressive experience and credentials which uniquely prepare them to spearhead this new game development company. Lili is a new release as well as Apple Editor’s Choice and it is nothing short of a masterful creation! In fact, I would go so far as to say Lili may be a contender for Best RPG of the year.
Japanese blog site Macotakara has posted another fresh crop of photos and a new video of the highly anticipated iPad mini (mock-up). Additionally, after a long stretch of silence in the wake of the iPhone 5's debut, new rumors and information have begun emerging fast and furiously! MacRumors reports on the latest whispering that points to the possibility of Apple sending out invitations on October 10th to an October 17th media event, where (fingers crossed) we will formally be introduced to the iPad mini!
Leading up to the announcement of the newly released iPhone 5, I was seeing a plethora of leaked images and video of the purported miniature iPad, however, since the iPhone 5 was introduced, things have been eerily quiet on the iPad mini front. However this latest tidbit of information has revived my optimism that the iPad mini is indeed on the near horizon. In fact, numerous sources are now reporting that the iPad mini is well into production in factories in both Brazil and China, with the iPad mini possibly becomming available for purchase by November 2nd.
Welcome back to my ongoing segment, The Week in Review. It's been a busy week in the world of iOS!
As everyone knows, the iPhone 5 has finally launched, officially going on sale on Friday September 21st, setting new sales records in the process, drawing crowds to line up in front of Apple outlets as if the iPhone going on sale were a Harry Potter movie premier. Exciting as this may be, it's certainly not the only news. Here's a brief synopsis of some of the other things that caught my attention this week, that I felt worthy of honorable mention! This week's headline recap includes: new accessories for the iPhone 5, iOS feature highlights, an iPad mini update and iOS game previews.
As you know, I'm also a big fan of accessories that make it easier for us to be Mobile, in the widest range of situations and circumstances possible. So products that help support our mobility by being built ruggedly and with integrity, and accessories that are highly compactable and portable, always trip my radar.
Add to my list of highly useful gadgets: The Jorno. The world's smallest, folding Bluetooth keyboard.
A new video has surfaced, and it's quite a treat. In it, we are given a hands-on tour of the new iPad mini. Well, actually, a mock-up of the iPad mini, which has become very easy to purchase in the Chinese market for about $13.00. The video shows all the details and dimensions of the new iPad mini, which is widely expected to be announced at an upcoming October media event. If you can't see the embedded video, you can also click this link.
I'm all about companies that don't just make a great product for profit, but also make a great product while being exemplary of a new way of thinking; one that makes our environment and experiencing the enjoyment of nature and the great outdoors, higher priorities. It's easy to diconnect from Mother Earth if we aren't careful, and I appreciate a company that understands how tied in to our mobile devices we are, while at the same time, facillitating ways in which we can integrate our hi-tech, mobile devices into a lifestyle that takes greater advantage of outdoor activities and adventures.
While the whole world is abuzz with anticipation of the impending availibility of the new iPhone 5, there are still many of us patiently awaiting the announcement of Apple's next "surprise", the introduction of the iPad mini. UPDATED: Now including the latest images to surface as of this morning (9/18), showing what seems to be a fully functional iPad mini...
