A new video has surfaced, and it's quite a treat. In it, we are given a hands-on tour of the new iPad mini. Well, actually, a mock-up of the iPad mini, which has become very easy to purchase in the Chinese market for about $13.00. The video shows all the details and dimensions of the new iPad mini, which is widely expected to be announced at an upcoming October media event. If you can't see the embedded video, you can also click this link.
I'm all about companies that don't just make a great product for profit, but also make a great product while being exemplary of a new way of thinking; one that makes our environment and experiencing the enjoyment of nature and the great outdoors, higher priorities. It's easy to diconnect from Mother Earth if we aren't careful, and I appreciate a company that understands how tied in to our mobile devices we are, while at the same time, facillitating ways in which we can integrate our hi-tech, mobile devices into a lifestyle that takes greater advantage of outdoor activities and adventures.
While the whole world is abuzz with anticipation of the impending availibility of the new iPhone 5, there are still many of us patiently awaiting the announcement of Apple's next "surprise", the introduction of the iPad mini. UPDATED: Now including the latest images to surface as of this morning (9/18), showing what seems to be a fully functional iPad mini...
If you’d like to find a professional quality pair of on-ear headphones, that also happen to be manufactured by a company with ecologically and sociologically upstanding core principles, well, look no further.
House Of Marley is a “rough and tumble, brand revolution, setting out to change the shape of the future.” They have crafted an outstanding line of products and iDevice accessories. The company (which is spearheaded by Rohan Marley, one of Bob’s sons) has from the ground up, incorporated Bob Marley’s timeless wisdom of Love and “Inity” into its development. Giving 5% of their annual profits to charity (Rita Marley’s 1Love Foundation) and using materials that are either recycled or can easily be recycled, House Of Marley is a trailblazer in the new paradigm of eco-conscious iDevice products. Incorporating wood, and repurposed and recycled aluminum, fabric and plastic, House Of Marley has raised the bar for companies producing eco-friendly, hi-tech accessories. With an ever-expanding line-up of merchandise, House Of Marley offers a lot of choices to anyone in the market for high-quality, stylish gear to go along with their gadgets.
The Revolution headphones are an exceptional pair of on-ear, professional quality headphones. When I put them on and listened to the first notes of music through them, it was such a wonderful experience. Imagine what it would sound like if crystals could sing! Indeed, these understated and comfortable headphones have a sound of crystalline clarity!
That which makes something a “great deal” is very relative and subjective.
For instance, for the unrivaled security they provide, I would call the Lifeproof line of iDevice products a “deal”, even though they might be some of the pricier iDevice cases on the market. With regards to quality and protection, the old adage “You get what you pay for.” is often true, especially when it comes to products that claim to be durable and built to last.
When it comes to a quality manufacturer of iPad and laptop bags, you’d be hard pressed to find a better deal than a Copper River Bag. First of all, Copper River Bags come with a 100-year warranty! I guarantee you, not many companies would say such a thing about their product. This puts them in league with such reputable, top companies as Eddie Bauer, L.L. Bean, Leatherman and the handful of other manufacturers whose warranties extend throughout the life of their product.
Copper River Bags are nothing short of works of art. Practical, durable works of art mind you, but art nonetheless. Each bag is hand crafted here in America in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Using rugged, full grain leather, each Copper River Bag is built to carry your devices and gadgets, now and for generations to come. Truly, if you decide to invest in a Copper River Bag, it is something that, barring any unforeseen natural disaster, you will likely find yourself leaving to a loved one in your will.
With the iPhone 5 comes the next wave of great new cases of all shapes, sizes, colors and prices. And I know that many of you will be eager to have a case for your new iPhone just as soon as possible!
One of the press releases I got today was for the Ballisitic line of cases. In particular, the Hard Core is one of the Ballistic cases that consisitently made my top 5 lists for Best Rugged Cases for the iPhone 4/4S. I expect similar standards of excellence in the new iPhone 5 version of the Hard Core. Read on for the press release and find out more about Ballistic's great line of protective cases.
Here's a photo review of this morning's Apple media event, where the all new product line-up was being presented! Read on for a full pictorial recap of this morning's unveiling of the new iPhone 5, the new iOS 6, iTunes and the all-new, redesigned iPod Touch and iPod Nano as well as the new "earbuds"; the technologically revolutionary, new earphones that Apple says were three years in the making. Featuring over 100 pictures from this morning's Apple event at the Yerba Buena center in San Francisco.
Wish I could say there was "one more thing". Instead, I reckon we'll just have to keep our fingers and toes crossed for the rumored October iPad mini event...
New images of the iPad mini have surfaced on the French website nowhereelse.fr. Feast your eyes on these pictures of what appears to be a fully assembled, fully functional iPad mini.
Read on and you will see in the following images, early pre-production cases for the iPhone 5, the iPod mini and the current generation iPad, alongside the current generation iPhone 4S. The infographic gives a good sense of the relative sizes of the various devices by using two devices most of us are quite familiar with, to represent the sizes of the two devices we’ve never seen.
Wow! Ok, we've gotta talk about Bastion ($5.00 in the App Store), exclusively for the iPad. This absolutely incredible masterpiece of a game (which existed in console form before but only just now debuted on iOS) has completely blown me away and continues to impress and give me chills the more I play it. I can't speak highly enough of this game and I admit, I almost never give a game a full five out of five stars, but Bastion, in my assessment, has earned all five!
An audio and visual explosion of psychedelic and far-out treats, Bastion is surely a front-runner for best iOS game of the year, certainly in the RPG category.
BONUS- Read to the end for a special sneak peek at a stunning, all-new game from Gameloft, powered by the Unreal Engine: Wild Blood...
Welcome to the latest in my review series. This time I’m taking on the new IncaseCompact Backpack, putting it through my rugged testing and reporting back to you on my findings.
I really like the company Incase, I've reviewed their products in the past and have felt like they always make quality merchandise. So I was looking forward to trying out the latest Incase iDevice carrier, simply called the Compact Backpack.
This backpack definitely leans more towards the urban adventurer than the wilderness explorer (I'll also be reviewing some of the better rugged, heavier duty iDevice carrier bags too in the coming weeks so stay tuned.) but for the price and for the quality of craftsmanship for the student, business person or teacher to whom it's targeted, this pack is hard to beat!
