iGearUnlimited offers awesome, customized cases, for you or as a great gift!

image

When the good folks at iGearUnlimited contacted me asking if I’d be interested in reviewing their customized cases I first checked out their website and saw what seemed to be a quality product. Then I watched their promotional video (see below), and was even more impressed. And then I went ahead and ordered a folio style case, and not only continued to be impressed, but now I feel like I can now unreservedly recommend their products to all of our readers here at iPhone Life.

First of all, how great it is to be able to get a quality case for an iPad with an image of your choosing decorating it! The iPad is already so personal to so many of us; it’s a great plus to be able to customize its protection as much as we can customize its innards.

Weekly Recap: Current iOS News In Review.

image

Welcome back to my weekly recap, here at iPhone Life. Some of the top stories in the world of iOS that I’ll be reviewing this week include:

•Apple and their withdrawal from EPEAT.

•More iPad Mini Rumors.

•Google sued for Mobile Safari spying.

Apple says: We are better than EPEAT.

One of the week’s big stories that has been generating a buzz in the blogosphere has to do with Apple removing themselves from EPEAT's registry and certification. EPEAT stands for Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool, and according to their website, serves as a “resource for purchasers, manufactures, resellers and others wanting to find and promote environmentally preferable products.”

Of course, Apple defended it’s decision to do so, as evidenced by the following statement to The Loop, from Apple rep, Kristin Huget: “Apple takes a comprehensive approach to measuring our environmental impact and all of our products meet the strictest energy efficiency standards backed by the US government, Energy Star 5.2. We also lead the industry by reporting each product’s greenhouse gas emissions on our website, and Apple products are superior in other important environmental areas not measured by EPEAT, such as removal of toxic materials…”

Game Review: DEAD TRIGGER

image

DEAD TRIGGER, the newest game release from MADFINGER games (makers of the other App Store smash hit, SHADOWGUN) is one of the best First Person Shooters available right now. This game is freakishly scary, and has been a very hard game for me to put down, partly due to its killer graphics, and partly due to its excellent gameplay. The post-apocalyptic environment you find yourself in is desolate with lethal danger around every corner. Abandoned buildings and deserted alleyways will become your tomb, if you are lucky. If not so lucky, well then I reckon you end up like them.

New iPad mini rumors and preparations.

I've been consistently saying for years now, that it was without a doubt, only a relatively short matter of time until Apple released a smaller version of the iPad tablet. Well, it seems as if that day may finally be right around the corner. Multiple reliable sources, including the Washington Post and Bloomberg, (among others) are reporting this week, that the rumors of the iPad mini are not just rumors. The new iPad mini will likely be released by the end of this year, possibly as early as September. In fact, it sounds like Apple has its product manufactures busy, in full swing producing parts for this new iPad mini, preparing for a massive product launch very soon. Not only will the iPad mini be a direct competitor to the Amazon Kindle and Google Nexus, but it will fill a niche that needs to be addressed, since many of us, as much as we do love our iPads, would love a smaller, lighter, more compact, more portable version of the same thing as much, or more!
