Apple’s share price plummeted this morning, dropping by $16.23 to $505.00 after reports
from the Wall Street Journal that Apple had cut parts orders (screens and other miscellaneous components) by as much as half as a result of a lower than expected demand for the iPhone 5.
I just got back from the amazing and spectacular event that was 2013’s Consumer Electronics Show. I had a blast, it was a great time with great people. Nonetheless, I'm a country boy at heart, and it's nice to be back in the rugged wilderness (relatively speaking) that is Sedona Arizona.
If you follow my iPhone Life magazine articles and blog postings then you already know a bit about me. I'm an enthusiast of all things outdoorsy, rugged and environmentally friendly. That said, there was certainly no shortage of amazing new iOS gadgets and gear that could make valid claims of meeting the rigorous IP
military-grade standards, that were being presented at this years CES. Read on for a sampling of some of my favorites in the category of heavy-duty, rugged and durable accessories. Trust me when I say, we have a lot to look forward to, in this category, this year.

The House of Marley: Not just a brand, not just high quality gear, but a revolutionary lifestyle choice.
If you follow my articles, then you already know I am a big fan of House of Marley. Aside from the fact that House of Marley is spearheaded by Rohan Marley, son of one of the most influential artist of all time, Bob Marley, House of Marley is also a brand and company that is so enthusiastically focused on the quality and integrity of their product that it was an entirely refreshing experience for me to be able to visit with them at CES 2013 today here in Las Vegas.
My visit to the House of Marley station today at CES was an absolute joy. The House of Marley staff was both completely welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about their products and also, so enthusiastic about the latest additions to an already amazing line of gear. Theirs has been one of the most enjoyable booths I’ve had the pleasure of visiting at this year’s CES.

Happy Holidays everyone, from all of us here at iPhone Life! Hopefully everyone had a safe and abundant holiday celebration. I know many of you are now very happy owners of the latest iDevices, and whether you just got an iPhone, an iPad or an iPad mini, this little "Buyer's Guide" is filled with handy links with lots of concise and useful information to help you accessorize and personalize your new toys.
Spoiler Alert: That brand new iPad under the Christmas tree is about to be old news, if the latest rumors targeting March 2013 for the introduction of the fifth-generation iPad and second-generation iPad mini with Retina display are accurate. Forgive me if I've dampened anyone's enthusiasm or spoiled anyone's surprise, but considering the rate at which iPad 4s and iPad minis have been flying off the shelves I'd reckon that many of you already guess/hope/suspect that one of those wrapped gift boxes under the tree is a new iPad just waiting for you to get your hands on in a few short hours. So I know it might not be the most welcome news to hear the latest iPad rumors floating around today, hinting at a possible March 2013 release date for the new, fifth-generation iPad and the second-generation iPad mini.
The world continues to turn, and the rumor mill continues to churn out details of the inevitable...
This is what I'm talking about! So many Apple pundits had complaints and negative words to say about the iPad mini before it was released, and now that this tablet-that-should-never-be has hit the market, it is one of the best selling devices in the industry. So mark my words when I say the iPad mini isn't the end of the line for new and different iDevice form factors.
This should really go without saying and yet, when I suggest that Apple will need to continue to create new iDevice size options to keep up with the competitive nature of the game (see HERE for my previous post on the topic), the backlash and nay saying can be intense. However, to remain relevant I feel Apple must continue to do as they have done and diversify their line to remain a top player in a world where the lines between tablet, phone and even PC continue to blur more and more with each passing year.
