iFrogz Coda Forte Bluetooth Headphones: Do They Have What it Takes to Stand Out From the Crowd?

image

The iFrogz Coda Forte ($99.99) are a pair of headphones I really wanted to like. Their parent company, Zagg, tends to make some great products and at first glance they seemed like a pair of headphones with great potential. The reality wasn't so impressive. Having spent some time with these headphones I'd like to share with you my impressions of where these Bluetooth headphones shine, and where they could use some fine tuning.

Get the Most Bang for Your Buck with Kinivo's M2 Bluetooth Sound Theater

image

In addition to writing for iPhone Life I also consult on web designing and Apple-related computer issues, which means I'm the go-to techie amongst all of my close friends. So when our close family friend (we'll call him "The Dude") got his new Apple TV and a set of speakers to go along with the new set-top box, I was more than happy to help him set everything up. While the Apple TV lived up to its reputation and delivered a seamlessly well-integrated media experience, it was the Kinivo M2 Bluetooth sound system ($69.99 on sale) that really got my attention. If you are looking for a great home theater speaker set up, one that won't break the bank, the Kinivo M2 Bluetooth speakers perform incredibly and they're one of the best deals I've come across anywhere online, comparable to systems that are over twice the price.

Concerned About Radiation Exposure From Your iPhone? You Should Know About Vest Tech.

image

I absolutely love the concept of Vest's radiation protection iPhone accessories. I think it’s a brilliant and a much needed solution to a problem that many of us may not pay much attention too; how do we stay connected to our favorite and most used technology without exposing ourselves, or those around us to possibly harmful levels of radiation? Well, Vest aims to tackle this issue head on with their radiation-minimizing iPhone 5/5s case and headphones.

Introducing the New, 3D Surround Sound On-Ear Headphones from Monoprice

image

Monoprice has made quite a name for themselves lately, with their high-quality, low-price tech gear. Recently I had the opportunity to try out their newest pair of Bluetooth headphones, the Monoprice 10585 ($89.50). To say that these are an awesome pair of headphones would be an understatement. These are definitely one of the most comfortable pair of on-ear headphones I've ever tried on, at any price, and for under $90 these affordable and great sounding headphones might be hard to pass up. The 10585 sets itself apart from the crowd with a very unique sonic signature and physical design. If you think I'm kidding, then check out these specs:

Adventure-Proof Your iPhone with Catalyst's New Touch ID Compatible, Waterproof Case

image

I've consistently been impressed with Catalyst iPhone cases, ever since their first iteration of waterproof protective cases for the iPhone 4. Each version of the Catalyst protective case has gotten better, with marked improvements over the previous model. The Catalyst + Survivor case saw the company team up with Griffin to provide not only some of the best extreme-duty iPhone protection on the market, but also one of the most affordable, premium rugged cases available. Now with the new Catalyst case for the iPhone 5/5S with Touch ID ($64.99), the company has upped the ante and introduced their latest model of iPhone cases. How does this case compare to its predecessors, and to the other high-level protective cases that are also available? Read on after the break to find out!

Kanye West Weighs in on Apple Beats Acquisition

image

In a surprise appearance at the Cannes Lions International Creativity Festival, rap superstar and reality television celebrity Kanye West shared some of his thoughts on the recent acquisition of Beats Music by Apple. West compared Apple's buy-out of the company co-founded by Dr. Dre to Samsung's tapping the popularity and cultural influence of Jay-Z when they partnered with him last year to give away a million free copies of his latest album to Galaxy phone buyers. In fact, West suggests that the Apple Beats deal wouldn't have happened if not for the success Samsung saw from leveraging Jay-Z's popularity for promotion.

Game Centered Special Edition: Top 9 iOS Games of E3 2014

image

The video game convention that is E3 has come and gone, and despite a relatively scant showing of iOS games, at least compared to the deluge of console titles, there were still some great and noteworthy iOS games announced at this year's game conference. We've rounded up some of the best iOS titles unveiled during this years huge show, so read on after the break to find out what's in store for iOS gamers in the months to come.

E3 for iOS Gamers: Why it Matters, and Why it Doesn't

image

As I sit here twiddling my thumbs waiting for some kind of last minute, major iOS game announcements from the giant video game convention that is E3, I've had a lot of time to reflect on what this biggest of video game showcases means to dedicated and enthusiastic iOS gamers. E3 has yet to become the primary forum for iOS games to make their grand debuts, though I anticipate this changing as more hardcore games make their way to iOS. But will iOS games ever carry enough hype to steal the show at major gaming events like the annual Game Developers Conference or E3.

Dr. Dre's "Cool" and Perfectionism May be the Perfect Complements to Apple

image

The Wall Street Journal recently ran a very positive feature on Dr. Dre (aka: Andre Young) suggesting that his work ethic and demanding perfectionism are more similar to Steve Jobs than one might have ever imagined. While Dre declined to comment or be interviewed for the WSJ article, through interviews with some of his friends and associates, the article paints a picture of a visionary artist and a culturally astute businessman who shares a lot in common with Apple's original visionary influence, the late Steve Jobs.
