"Dress Up Like Steve Jobs Day" is September 9th 2011. That means get your jeans, black shirts and black turtle necks ready!
How did this happen?
A few of us at iPhone Life were trying to come up with a fun and easy way to show our respect and appreciation to Steve Jobs, a man who's vision, inspiration and dedication have touched so many people's lives, and whose retirement from the role of Apple CEO marks the end of an era.
Steve Jobs stepped down as Apple's CEO today, and "strongly recommended" to the Apple Board of Directors that Tim become the new CEO.
"“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know,” starts his letter. "Unfortunately, that day has come.”

According to a study from the electronics shopping site, Retrevo.com, 34% of iPhone users thought they already owned a 4G smartphone. 4G phones are still not available, but they are coming, so the confusion may mean that 4G adoption will happen more slowly than planned. After all, why would you get a 4G phone when you think you already own one?
Users who like to jailbreak their devices might find some difficulty with iOS 5. According to a report by Mashable, the iPhone Dev Team was looking through the code for iOS 5 beta 2, and it discovered that Apple is putting measures that will make it harder for users to revert to earlier versions of iOS.
The folks over at the ActionReaction blog have come up with a series of physics questions (courtesy of the Western New York State Physics Teachers’ Alliance) related to the game Angry Birds that can help you master some pretty advanced physics concepts.
According to the New York Times, a Facebook app for the iPad may finally be here is a few weeks. Facebook released an app for the iPhone in July 2008, and so far, only third-party apps have tried to optimize the Facebook interphase on the iPad's larger screen. According to the report, the app has been been in the works for over a year, and the unnamed sources say it is now in the final stages of testing.
MacRumors and 9to5 Mac have both confirmed that Apple will start selling unlocked versions of the iPhone 4 starting on Wednesday, June 15th. Although these rumors surfaced over the weekend, most tech blogs were skeptical since Apple has always frowned upon unlocking (AKA "jail-breaking") their devices to be used with any carrier.
