Navagation
This looks very promising, I have been looking for a perfect Nav system.
Navigation software
this is something I have been wanting to try and review, I hope I'm the chosen one
Interesting, I wonder how
Interesting, I wonder how this compares to Navigon in day to day usage. The Navigon POI database can be mildly frustrating occassionally. Up for a chance to try it out!
Nav Apps
That would be really cool to try this out. I currently use TOMTOM because of the landscape view, but if I can use an AT&T product with my AT&T service, that would certainly be pretty cool. I hope the GPS capability and directions are more intutive than TOMTOM. There is nothing worse than being given the wrong exit and being sent on a toll road when you select "do not display toll roads."
AT&T Navigator for iPhone
I will like to try the AT&T navigator because I am looking for a good quality navigation application for my iPhone 3G that works in Puerto Rico.
GPS
I have been waiting for any and all of the Vendors of GPS to bring a great app, but it seems that only AT& T Navi has been able to continue to upgrade their product over a short period of time. From having Text to Speech to having a voice that you can understand and hear. Although it is expensive, it does have the means to get you where you want to go in the "Fastest" period of time...
AT&T Nav versus the others
I have used AT&T Navigator for the past few years on my Blackberry. Now that I have changed over to an iPhone, I'm trying to decide which nav software the get. I notice that many of the others have a one time price now, not a month to month subscription like AT&T Nav. Over the two years I spent $240 on AT&T Nav. During that time many other vendors came out with software from free to over $100. The one that I thought was most promising was from Garmin, it looked just like their stand along GPS Nav units. So really, what I would like to see is a good head to head comparison with a nice matrix chart showing all of the feature differences. Once thing about the iPhone is that most apps are not trial based before paying. I was able to try almost all of the Blackberry SPG nav apps before making a decision.
Att Nav
Wow! This tops the Nav in my care with real time traffic!!
Navigon
I am currently a Navigon NA user, I'd be curious to see what AT&T Navigator has to offer! It does look slicker and since my Garmin Nuvi died, I'm up for anything that's free. Thanks!
can't wait to try it (i keep
can't wait to try it (i keep my fingers crossed) and ditch my old stand-alone Tomtom GPS. My travel bag is getting lighter and lighter!
AT&T Navigator
That would be really cool to try this out. I currently use the iPhone GPS in Puerto Rico, a friend is an iPhone User also told me about TOMTOM because of the landscape view, and has the Puerto Rico map in the database, but if I can use an AT&T product with my AT&T service, that would certainly be pretty cool. I hope the GPS capability and directions are more intutive than the one on the iPhone or TOMTOM. There is nothing worse than being given the wrong exit and being sent on a toll road when you select "do not display toll roads." and use it in Puerto Rico as well in the states because I travel a lot as a pilot and I want to be always ontime where I go in the rental car.
Fantastic! I've just finally
Fantastic! I've just finally moved to an iPhone this week and I've been eyeing GPS apps to replace my NUVI. I'd love to try this out!
AT&T Navigator
This app is a main reason I bought an iPhone; didn't want another device to keep track of!
GPS In Puerto Rico Nice...!!!
At&T Navigation
I don't have this on my phone, but I have a friend that has it on her phone. I rode with her one day when she used it just to show me how great this is. I love the 3D maps. They are really cool. The voice control is great because you don't have to really look down at the phone while you're driving, which can be dangerous. You can just listen to it. We even make a wrong turn on purpose just to show me how it reroutes if you miss your turn. This software is great. I would love to have this on my iphone. It even finds ATM machines, resturants that you're looking for, gas stations, etc. This software is really really great. I just sat there the entire time saying wow, wow.
Garmin user currently
I love the Garmin GPS that I have in the car. But I can't use it in the house to add destinations and to preview my trip since it's down in the car (yes, I could walk 3 floors down to get it, but that's inconvenient).
To have it on the phone and be more easily updated would be very handy. I'm also assuming it'll pull addresses out of my address book. That'd be very handy.

AT&T vs Navigon vs Tom Tom
I am interested in trying this app and comparing it to Navi and Tom Tom. I want to see how well it does with downloading vs having all the maps on the iphone ahead of time.
AT&T Navigator
I think AT&T Navigator is the real deal at less than $10 a month, and getting a free for a whole year is a nice treat. The sound quality is nice, the features are pretty similar to most GPS systems out there. Not only you get the landscape mode, but you can also have the ipod controls available. AT&T Navigator is the best phone GPS system I've seen!!
Which Nav System to use... Choices?
It's hard to choose which navigation software to use. There is no try before you buy with iPhone apps and if you purchase something at $80+, there is no giving it back. I like the voice direction feature, especially if you are driving. In Wisconsin, they just past a no texting law while driving, so I wonder if this would fall under that category.
Hope I win as one of the 3 randomly picked :)
AT&T Naviator
I have MotionX Drive and would like to try something different. This sounds like it may an alternative.
AT&T Navigator
I have a Garmin, which I love but is limited in what it can do, plus it is a pain to have to take it down and hide it in my glove box each time I park the car. I love the idea of having a navigation feature on my iPhone. It will definitely be more convienient and the real time traffic updates are something my Garmin doesn't have. Definitely a plus for anyone who commutes. Great job AT&T!
Navigator
I am so excited to hear about this. I have been an AT&T customer since before they became Cingular and subsequently became AT&T again. I just got my iPhone last month and I love it but the one thing that is missing is something like this Navigator app. My job requires me to drive as far as 60 miles one way and having a feature like real time traffic updates on my phone will be a real bonus. Kudos to AT&T for creating something useful for the consumer.
AT&T Navigator
I'm sick of constantly looking down at my iphone to check my location on the map. I need the voice/turn by turn navigation that AT&T is now offering!
I used the telenav service on
I used the telenav service on sprint and really liked. I always found it to be very accurate. I currently use sygic on my Iphone. I would like to try out Telenav, but since I already have GPS, I do not want to pay the monthly price for Telenav. This would be a great way of having both and not paying for it for a year.
Win a Free Copy of AT&T Navigator for iPhone!
I used TomTom on my WinMo phone before it broke and I upgraded to the iPhone. The current feature set of the iPhone TomTom does not yet warrant the high price tag. I could really use the TeleNav. Plus it features traffic updates..how cool is that! iPhone Life RULES!!! Thank You.
