What I read this week - The Island on iPad mini!

The new iPad mini is so perfect for reading, don't even want to talk about it...but I will, anyway. It sounds ridiculous and pampered to say, but I can't understand how we tolerated a full-sized iPad for hours and hours of reading. Ah, the sacrifices one must make... The mini screen is so amazingly sharp, the text practically reads itself! That's an exaggeration, of course, but it seems that way to me (new device glow, it's called). I haven't done many "what I read this week" posts admittedly, but this eBook was too good to not do a quick one anyway. I like to push the free iTunes reads (especially the good ones) on our blog and magazine every chance I get. Good free/low-cost fiction, especially recent stuff is, well...as rare as nasty flying imps with sharp teeth! If you like Sci-Fi/Horror, you have to grab this series of free chapters in iBooks from Michael Stark called The Island. Anyway, you can get 3 excellent chapters free, and 2 more installments are only 99 cents each to complete the story. You grab this astonishingly-descriptive and frightening work, and you will not want to put the iPad mini down. By the end of chapter 3, you might consider keeping mini close at hand as a weapon for what you think might be lurking in the closet! iPad mini is small, but quite sturdy after all...
