Los Angeles, CA – iStoryTime, a publisher of children’s storybooks for the iPhone, announced today the official release of “Shrek Forever After,” digital children’s book based on the DreamWorks Animation film that opens in theaters this weekend.  iStoryTime and DreamWorks Animation entered into a digital publishing licensing agreement earlier this year that grants iStoryTime the rights to publish online children’s books based on four of the studio’s properties:  How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek Forever After, Megamind and The Penguins of Madagascar.   iStoryTime, which has the largest library of illustrated and narrated children’s books for the phone, brings books to life for anytime, anywhere entertainment for kids.

“What's exciting about the Shrek book is that we were able to enhance the interactivity of the app without compromising the intrinsic value of it being a book,” said iStoryTime co-Founder, Woody Sears.  “You can almost think of it as a digital pop-up book."

iStoryTime’s online books, which can be downloaded directly to an iPhone or iPod Touch or iPad, are simple to use and known for their creativity, illustrations, narrations and animation.  Options for narrations on different stories include voices of adults, kids, and characters.  The narration can also be turned off so that parents can read to kids.

iStoryTime books are available globally for $.99-$2.99 in the iPhone App Store in 80 countries.

iStoryTime can provide members of the media with a download code to access books for review.
