Well, thanks to Steve Green, instead of reviewing some software right now, I'm waiting for the new 3.0 upgrade to complete on my iPod touch. The download is 257.8MB so if you don't have a broadband connection, it might take a while. I simply synced my ipod, and in the Summary tab it indicated that version 3.0 was available. Click the Update button, and it should run without much interaction (beyond the usual iTunes verifications, of course). The iPod will reset at least once during this process, which you should not interrupt. Strangely the iTunes backup after the upgrade is taking longer than the upgrade did...hope that isn't a bad omen..? When I've played a bit more with it and tested all my apps, I'll report back. Gotta give Apple big, BIG points for making this available for under 10 bucks!
