Satechi LED Desk Lamp

Satechi is one of my favorite digital product producers; It is always coming up with some innovative, creative new product and today, I'd like to tell you about its new LED desk lamp.

Its unique design caught my attention right away. Just looking at it, you wouldn't even know it was a desk lamp. You could call the LED lamp eco friendly because it emanates pure, natural light, which is a health attraction in itself. The light never flickers and is always consistent. It contains no mercury or environmentally harmful substances and uses 75 percent less electricity than a typical fluorescent light. LED lights last 40 times longer than an incandescent bulb. If used five hours a day, it will last for 20 years for a lifetime of 40,000 hours.

This lamp has a sleek, unique design that would enhance any environment. It is certainly a welcome addition to my desktop environment.

The heavy metal base is about 6.5 inches square. Extending up from one side of the base is an arm out of which folds another arm that can form an L shape. The base arm can swivel 130 degrees. It folds to 90 degrees from the base. The extension can fold up to 140 degrees.

The three rows of LED lights are in the upper arm. There are two outer rows of white lights with a central row of light orange lights to mellow the tone. You can vary the intensity and combination of the lights for different effects to suit your mood, ranging from bright to mellow and soothing.

All of the touch control buttons are on top of the base. One row features the power and timer buttons along with two brightness control buttons. In the next row you have buttons for reading mode, study mode, relaxation mode, and bedtime mode.

It comes with an AC power supply. Next to the power supply port is a hand USB port. One can never have enough USB ports, and this is a welcome feature.

It comes in your choice of black or white. The suggested retail price is $199.99, but you can get one here for half price: http://bit.ly/XwB6qV
