Cool Stuff from ID America, New York

I’d like to tell you about two items I received from ID America to review. The first is a creative case for the iPhone 5, the The Cushi DJ ($14.95). It is not your typical case, arriving with seven items in the package: a Cushi soft foam pad for the back; band for the edges; soft foam pad for the front; home button; screen protective film; installation squeegee; and microfiber cleaning cloth. As you can see, the Cushi DJ has you covered on every surface. It looks like a retro turntable in miniature.

The second item is the new Metropolitan Aluminum, in-ear Headphones ($29.95), a set of the most comfortable ear buds you will ever experience. The memory foam ear pads seal in the sound, blocking outside noise and offering superior sound quality.

To appeal to the designer in you, they come in your choice of six classy colors: brilliant red, jet black, lime green, aluminum silver, navy blue, and rose pink.

In contrast to the original Metropolitan in-ear headphones, the latest version offers a retuned 10mm dynamic driver with a fuller, louder sound. They have an advanced in-line microphone module. Press the button once to play or pause the music or an incoming call. After a call, press again to continue listening to music. Press the button twice to advance to the next song. Press the button three times to go to the previous song.

The L shaped cord with a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack is padded and tangle free, which is a highly desirable feature as I hate untangling cords every time I want to use my headphones.

You also get four pairs of extra ear pads in case you lose one or need to replace it. These earbuds come with a nice suede carrying pouch so you can jam them in the bag and toss them in your pack or pocket for easy listening.
