Just released, these incredible quality headphones are the Rodeo Drive of sound purveyors. Inspired in Italy and designed in Hollywood, they are the result of years of collaborative effort among audiophones, journalists, producers, DJs and engineers. This is truly a Crowdsourced product.
The headphones are the brainchild of developer Val Kolton who has a fascinating backstory that you can read here: http://v-moda.com/v-moda-story/. Kolton likens this project to growing grapes for fine wine, which must be carefully quality controlled.
The result of this worldwide cooperative effort is impressive. We could start with the box. What superb, creative packaging. Just looking at the box, you know you are in for a treat contained in this hexahedronic construction, which is a bit of a puzzle to open.
Once inside, you are treated to a sturdy, molded zipper case that contains the goods. Open it and you find the headphones neatly folded in a compact unit that cleverly unfolds to full glory. You also will find two tangle-free Kevlar coated cables. One is for connecting the phone to your output device (with microphone), the other for sharing with a friend, which may make this the perfect Valentine's Day gift. There also is a 24k gold 1/4 inch professional adaptor.

Let's not forget comfort. Like well-trained slippers, these ear pads have memory and conform to your ears over time like a Posturepedic mattress. Who could ask for more than that? It's a lot better than my dear old grandmother who used to threaten to box my ears if I were misbehaving.
These attractive, lightweight, noise-cancelling headphones are probably the best quality listening devices I have encountered. I have a $500 set that does not seem to deliver as well as the M-100s. The sound is crisp and clear with a convincing base that makes your heart throb. It is better than live.
And speaking of hearth throbs, these would make a fine Valentine's Day present guaranteed to endear you to your significant other.
All that remains is the price, which is $300, and I consider that a bargain for the incredible quality involved. You can pick up a pair here.
