All-Weather Soft Mount Bike Mount

Riding my recumbent bike, is one of my great joys. Another great joy is tracking my trips and playing music along the way. For this purpose, I need a good handlebar mount that will allow me to hold my PDA in plain view securely.

My first bike mount was a disaster. I thought my phone was securely fastened, but on the first bump, the unit went flying, the battery cover in one direction, the body, and battery in other directions. When I retrieved it, the screen was shattered, and I had to get a new phone. That bike mount was an expensive proposition above its initial cost.

Since then, I've never trusted another bike mount, until now. At last, I found the perfect solution, the All-Weather Soft Case Bike Mount by Bracketron.

This superb mount consists of a zippered fabric case with a see-through screen and an adjustable swivel base that quickly attaches to handlebars. It comes with a set of shim pads of various thicknesses to assure a snug fit. For instance, my iPod touch is far slimmer than my Motorola Atrix, but with the shims, I can make either fit snuggly in the case without moving around.

A universal case, this mount will accommodate phones, gps devices, MP3 players, and even cameras. It is weather resistant,  swivels in all directions, and is quickly detached for security purposes.  You can set it up in seconds without tools. The case part locks firmly into place and cannot become detached when you hit a bump. The clasp has three levels to accommodate any handlebar size, even motorcycles.

Now I can ride knowledgeably and serenely while being entertained with music confident that I my Atrix will not become separated if a hit a bump.

I give the All-Weather Soft Case Bike Mount the highest possible, two thumbs up recommendation.

The list price is $45. Go hereto get one for $26. Bracketron.com, the manufacturer, offers an array of other useful products including a full line of mounting devices.
