Fall in love with Angry Birds with their Valentines day upgrade

Rovio made us all happy with its release of Angry Birds Seasons last Haloween. Then then gave us something under the virtual Christmas tree with their holiday season version. Well now, they have done it again by dressing up those cute little (and thieving) piggies with red ribbons, and pink undertones.

The game play and plot is still the same; topple the pigs homes and crush them while searching for the precious eggs. The challenges are harder though and while the chances of you making it through each level the first time are probable, do not expect 3 stars right off the bat.

There are well placed candy boxes on each level which when broken, will give you 3000 points.

One thing I noticed and i like very much is the fact that when you complete a level, whether you fail it or not, it shows your score and your ranking amongst all the other "Angry Birders" world wide.

This leads me to speculatie on future Angry Birds Seasons. Lets look at what is left as far as holidays (at least in the US).

  • Memorial Day might show the birds in uniforms of our armed forces, and pigs dressed up as the enemy
  • July 4th might show the birds as our founding fathers and the pigs as the British soldiers
  • Columbus Day may have the pigs dressed as Columbus, and maybe a nautical theme showing the 3 famed boats
  • Thanksgiving day may show us pilgrims, native americans, and the oppressive british empire as the pigs.

So it is time for you to get the latest download (free if you already own Angry Birds) and show your significant other some love, iOS style. I suggest though that you get your loved one more than just the app, or he/she may treat you like an Angry Bird.
