Bowers & Wilkins was kind enough to send me a pair of their new C5 headphones ($175). These are B&W's first attempt at ear buds. They will be available for purchase starting in August.
I have never had such a hard time figuring out how to use a pair of headphones. The headphones actually come with a manual AND I read the whole thing AND still couldn't figure it out. The confusing thing is their new "security loops". These little plastic tubes are supposed to slide into your ear and secure the earbud without forcing you to jam the bud into your ear. Well they take a little bit of finagling. Finally I went on Youtube to see demos of people putting headphones into their ears. (See video below)
Once I got the whole thing figured out I actually really liked the headphones. As always the sound quality for B&W products is excellent. I will try to do a more in-depth review sometime soon.
