Which iPhone photo App do you use most?

A quick look at my iPhone Apps shows that I've got more photo related Apps than all others...combined. Yes, I really do like photography. I download just about all of the photo Apps I find that sound interesting. I still wonder sometimes what some of them are actually about. I'd love to see all Apps come in English versions. But, that's a different story.

I find that one App is used more than all the others by a large margin. Why? It's simple to use. It provides some interesting effects. It allows me to upload them onto Twitter and Facebook if I want. It also allows me to store them on a dedicated site that is open to the public. I like that too. So, what App is my favorite photo related App?

Drum roll...

My favorite is Best Camera by Chase Jarvis.

Old Comments

one for shooting and one for processing pictures

I am mostly using standard iPhone 4 camera to shoot pictures and Hipstamatic, when have a lomo mood:) FX Photo Studio is no doubt best for image processing and effects and Perfect Photo for editing (Photoshop for iPhone is OK, but needs more features, which you can get in PerfectPhoto). Last update for TOYcamera made it a fun app as well. But if you ask me to name top 1, I will vote for FX Photo Studio

Instagram is free and I like

Instagram is free and I like it a lot. The number of features is limited, but it does basics and again it is free. Best Camera was one of the first I purchased and still use it a lot. Thank you for the article.

FX Photo Studio

I use FX Photo Studio, too. I like it's vivid colors in effects.

Instagrom

Interesting that you stress the free part. That's what seems to be Instagram's biggest attribute. With deep pocketed investors, I wonder how they are going to start making money. :)

ClearCam

I have a zillion photo apps, too. I quickly realized that because of the limitations of the iPhone camera (teeny sensor, slow lens), capturing a good photo is far more important on the iPhone than what you do with it afterwards.

ClearCam is so indispensable for me that it I keep it in the dock. Quick mode snaps four photos in rapid succession, and save the sharpest. Handy in anything but bright sunlight. Enhanced mode takes six photos which you later merge into one 11 megapixel image.

ClearCam

Unfortunately, ClearCam is one App that I've never tried. [I did get it today and will experiment with it.] If it allows me to get the sharpest picture that will be a big help. I often take pictures in dim light and can use all the help I can get to keep the iPhone steady. Thanks.

I like Slow Shutter for the

I like Slow Shutter for the ability to play with the light. It was free in December and I got it then. The ClearCam is nice, but needs more features, hopefully the update is coming soon. Hipstamatic is great for lomo, but there is also TOYcamera and LomoLomo for the same. Used PhotoStudio a lot when they had contest and will do the same in the future, I like that you can create billions of mixed with effects, not only lomo and vintage!

Plenty to play with...

Having billions of potential effects is a great thing. It certainly beats working in a darkroom doing things manually over many hours and then trying to duplicate it later on. The good old days...LOL.

In additon to iPhone photography, I'm also very interested in pinhole photography and have a strong feeling for Apps that allow you to control shutter speed. When I use my favorite pinhole camera the fixed aperture is f/108...one needs to do a lot of calculating when taking a picture with one of those cameras.
