If you're like everyone else, you have a ton of email in your Inbox in Mail on your iPhone or iPad. And likely those are a mix of read and unread emails. If you're making a concerted effort to respond to all of them, you might find it convenient to just view those that are unread. Fortunately, in iOS 8 you can now edit the mailbox list so that you have a mailbox that just shows your unread emails.

To enable the mailbox that just shows unread emails, go to the Mailboxes view in Mail and tap Edit at the top right.

Then tap on the radio button in front of Unread and tap Done at the top right.

Now in the mailbox list you'll see the Unread mailbox along with a number indicating how many unread emails you have.

Tap on the Unread mailbox to view only your unread emails.

Note that when you're in the  Mailboxes Edit view, you can also adjust the order of your mailboxes by dragging up or down the parallel lines to the right of each mailbox.
