One of my main uses of my iPad is reading the news, and I love The Daily, the newspaper from Rupert Murdoch's News Corp that's just $0.99 per week. I'd actually prefer to read all of my magazines via the iPad. And the great news out today is that Time, Sports Illustrated, and Fortune magazines are now available via their respective iPad apps for free if you're already a subscriber. You can read more about this development in the Wall Street Journal. My goal is to no longer encumber my house with books and magazines. I dislike the way they accumulate and take up space. Having them exclusively on my iPad is much preferred, and I hope Time Inc. eventually lets people just subscribe to the electronic edition.
