iPhone-optimized websites

As Ben notes in an earlier post, we at iPhone Life are working to make our content, um, conveniently accessible to the iPhone. (Something we oughta have done by now.) That includes a version of our website optimized for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and a free app that will present our best content. That app will include a handy list of the top Internet websites that have been optimized for the iPhone. And the task of developing that list is mine. I've just spent an hour looking to see what's out there and was amazed. After the break you can see what I've come up with so far.

Old Comments

HuffPost now iPhone-friendly

Jim, you might want to add The Huffington Post to your list. HuffPo used to be very annoying to read on the iPhone. Efforts to enlarge the screen sent readers to links elsewhere. Now, through the free HuffPost app the content is much easier to read.

I particularly like Jason Linkins' round-up of the Sunday morning current affairs talk shows. As he's liveblogging, readers send in tips and comments that he folds into his commentary. That's the kind of thing this technology makes possible.

So, finally, the site via the iPhone is as attractive as its opinionated founder, Arianna Huffington...

good suggestion

Thanks, Timothy. Good suggestion.

On second thought

I'm limiting this to websites accessible via Safari rather than apps. Looks like a great app, though.
