E! Online — free app for following the Oscars AND for submitting your own video

If you're following the buzz on the Oscars, which is coming up this Sunday, E! Online (free) is a great choice. The app was just updated with a new carousel navigation menu above the news section that highlights the Academy Award season coverage with special video content and a new "Live from the Red Carpet" section. The app offers extensive coverage from the event, as well as leading up to it and in the days that follow. Also new to this version is E! Talk Box, which gives you the ability to record your own video commentary (you'll need the iPhone 3GS) on hot topics and celebrity headlines and submit it directly to E! where a few selected video responses will be featured on the air and online. As before, the app offers a ton of celebrity info and gossip, plus full episodes of the most popular E! shows like The Soup, The Girls Next Door, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
