Cheaper alternatives?

Unless I am mistaken there are very small TVs out there for about half the
price of this add-on unit. Everyone seems to be piggy-backing the iPhone will all types of gadgets that spoil the simplicity and compactness of an already great product. I think it does enough on it's own without the burden of another bag full of plug ins one needs to drag around all the time.
