So you’ve just taken out your brand new iPhone or iPod touch out of the box, you just can’t put it down and it hasn’t left your side in days. Stop! Before you go and download any more apps your first priority is to protect that baby. The iPhone or iPod touch is similar to any piece of electronics in that if you don’t take care of it will not take care of you.
Here are my two rules if you own or plan on owning an iPhone / iPod touch:
# 1 – Buy a screen protector
# 2 – Buy a case
The Apple Store has a bunch of cases to choose from but to me they were expensive and limited in their selection. I recommend checking out accessorygeeks.com. They have literally thousands of iPhone / iPod touch cases there. They have rubber cases, hard cases, soft cases, sports cases, leather wallet cases, etc. The options that are available go on and on. The case you choose should reflect how you want to protect your iPhone / iPod touch as well as your personality. It is a fashion statement but more importantly it will help make your iPhone / iPod touch last a heck of alot longer. They are fairly priced compared to the Apple Store and offer a greater selection to choose from. Here are a couple of cases and accessories that I recommend from accessorygeeks.com:
iPhone Life Editor's Choice Award
Privacy Screen Protector - $11.99

iPhone Life Editor's Choice Award
Case Mate – Premium Leather Hard Case with screen protector - $24.99

Griffin – Streamline Sport Armband - $12.99

Tiko – TikoFold Travel Stand - $9.99

If you have a favorite case or vendor, drop me a line and let me know.

iPod/iPhone protector cases
I bought a iPhone protector case at www.pelicancasedirect.com and it has been awesome. I even broke a piece on it and they replaced it with no problem. Think they have a couple different iphone/ipod cases but not sure...but the one I got has been perfect.
