Fabrix Sleeve for iPad - a good first case, but I'm looking for more

The Fabrix Sleeve for the iPad is custom built to fit. You can choose from several color choices including PINK! Love the Birdies!

It’s lightweight so it doesn’t add much weight – a definite plus.

The cushioned padding inside protects your iPad, and an inner flap helps to hold the iPad in the case. (I found that the inner flap is only minor protection. Don’t count on it.)

The biggest flaw to me is that there is no protection when you take your iPad out of the case. I’m looking for a case that protects all the time and has a stand that holds the iPad horizontally or vertically, depending on my needs.

However, it does fit great in my purse, and I feel secure that my iPad is protected most of the time. Until I find my perfect case, this one is a keeper.

One of the things that

One of the things that I found most awkward about the iPad was that I had to balance it on my lap to type on it. I hope someone builds a case that can help with that. Some sort of slick case that can pop out to ergonomically sit on my lap would be great.

This takes some getting used

This takes some getting used to, but so far typingon my lap, or more often with my legs crossed works fine for me. So far I've not felt any wrist strain, despite typing quite a bit, so having the iPad on my lap or table top is ok, as ok as a virtual keyboard can be. The best case, aka shoulder pack I've found is the Booq Tarapin - which keeps the iPad well well protected (I've had Booq backpacks for years) and slip cover - which is solid on one side neoprene on the other. Back to a case/cover that stands up, Incase sells a rubber cover which has a leg you can pull out so it stands up for about $40.
