Connecting iPhone/iPod to a TV

A great question came in the other day on how to connect an iPhone to a TV, even though the reader had followed the Tips & Tricks on page 72 of the Fall issue, he still wasn't quite certain of the settings on the iPhone & iPod I know the feeling, we've all been there before, so I put together a quick video on the process for any other readers who might be wondering how to do this.

You think hooking it up to the TV will be fun, did you know that there are pocket sized projectors for the iPhone?  http://store.apple.com/us/product/TV748ZM/A?afid=p210%7Cfrgl&cid=AOS-US-SHOP-Froogle 

It's an excellent way for teachers, health care workers, artists, etc to quickly load video they might like to use for instruction/illustration onto their iPhone and plug and play just about anywhere.  In otherwords, I really like that one can use this feature in their work environment, as well as leisure, it is much easier for me to load a video onto my iPhone than burn a DVD, etc.  I think once teachers, Dr's, attorney's, etc get how easy and realtively cheap it is to use the iPhone this way there will be more professional use of these devices.

Where to get connectors for iPhone to TV

Since I've been fielding a number of questions about the cable, you can get the Dynex base I mentioned in the video at Best Buy but they've got it listed fairly expensive, not certain why, but please shop around to get the best price.  Though you wouldn't get the base or some of the extra cables, you could always get the Apple composite connector which would give you the best quality image.  Then again you could always go super cheap and take your chances with this.
