Words with Friends may be the gold standard for word games, but Quote Unquote offers a unique alternative. You are presented with a famous (or not so famous quote, but from a famous person) and you have to extract parts of words from the quote to solve crossword style puzzles.


Quote Unquote is a unique, and challenging twist. Just like a crossword puzzle, you have to have a command of world trivia and knowledge to solve puzzles, plus use word search skills to solve the puzzle. You might be tempted to double click the home button, launch Safari, and get the answer through Google or other means! Maybe Siri can help! But try to solve it yourself and you'll feel a sense of accomplishment!


There are higher levels you can purchase within the app, but the entry level version can give you hours of entertainment. I'm still about halfway through the base version!
