Strotter Platforma and Across — The iPad Cases You Didn't Know You Needed Until Now!

First I must say, I usually type my reviews on my iPad, but today I'm using Siri's dictation simply because I can't take my hands off my beautiful leather cases from Strotter! Strotter has managed to create something I didn't know I needed until now. The iPad introduced the world to a whole new way of computing, obsoleting traditional laptop bags. Manufacturers have been trying to create the perfect tablet case, and I think Strotter may have just done that. First, the bags use the most exquisite, buttery-soft leather I've ever seen, combined with tough nylon where necessary. The lining is a gorgeous red, complementing the black bag beautifully. Finally, the metal hardware is strong and serious.

The interior of the Platforma ($170) is sizeable, allowing you to store an iPad, books, magazines, and business documents, as well as chargers and cables.

But the Platforma and her smaller sister the Across ($99), have a secret trick. Through clever use of magnets, you can make your iPad stick to the back of the bag to give you a nice platform for typing. Additionally, you can mount the straps to any of the four outside corners of either bag. This allows you to use the bag as a shoulder bag, or an across the back style messenger bag. This worked great on my motorcycle, as it is much more comfortable than a backpack and doesn't interfere with a passenger.

In a novel twist, you can wear the cases across your front in a wearable, usable position. This could be great for insurance adjusters, doctors, nurses, and other professionals who need to access their iPad while keeping their hands free.

Strotter has seen the opportunity presented by this new class of computing devices and met the challenge head on with the beautifully designed, well manufactured Platforma and Across.
