Frankly, some products at CES suck, but in the case of the Sea Sucker (www.AppleMount.com) that's a good thing! If you want to mount your iPhone or iPad from your car windshield or dashboard, for GPS purposes, or perhaps on a side window for the kids in the backseat, you might be concerned about a suction cup that will eventually give way and drop your valuable device.

The Sea Sucker is an industrial strength mount that uses a pump action to remove the air beneath the suction cup for a remarkably solid connection. It's reminiscent of the old Reebok pump sneaker but these mounts are built like a submarine. And yes, it's built in the USA (specifically Florida) with the exception of a small thread and screw connection.

They also sell a bunch of add ons that allow you to mount the device on a headrest or desktop stand and there are suction mounts for an iPhone or a larger one for iPad.
