Keep your iPhone on a leash with the made in the USA iCat from EKUSA - Seen at CES

Apple does a lot of things right, but an integrated lanyard clip might have helped to prevent dropped (and broken) phones. Then again, AppleCare revenue might be an incentive not to. Enter EK Ekcessories who have been making rugged retention accessories for outdoor, recreation and security since 1985 in Utah. They are addressing the iOS market with a line of rugged leashes that use a 30pin dock connector to attach to the iPhone, iPod touch or even an iPad!

The iCat is available as a lanyard, carabiner style belt clip, or wristlet, and can even have a retractable leash. The 30pin secure port connector does indeed support the weight of even the iPad but with a quick squeeze, you can release the device. Because the device hangs down from the bottom of the phone, you can quickly lift it to see who is calling. With the retractable option on the belt clip model, you can easily raise the phone to your ear.

If you are worried about using your 30pin connector, they also offer a low profile case that uses a custom clip to attach to their lanyard or carabiner.
