Index Card pays homage to paper index cards, while making them obsolete

My daughter had to do a school project which required index cards, and I had to scrounge around for some. The reason I didn't have the old school cards is that I've been using the appropriately named Index Card app. It does the work of an entire stack of cards, but you can virtually rearrange and edit them as desired. Plus it looks great on my new iPad with Retina display, thanks to the realistic cork, linen and other backgrounds.

You can choose different backgrounds and fonts. You can also export your cards and share them via the built-in Dropbox support. The latest version sports AirPrint for those times when only hardcopy will do.

We know President Obama uses an iPad, so I put together a mock State of the Union presentation he might deliver!

The app is elegant, and takes full advantage of the iPads real estate, in portrait or landscape orientation. If you find yourself giving presentations or just want a virtual way to keep notes, that is reminiscent of old school index cards, check out Index Card.
