CES: Dexim P-Flip... SOLAR Power to the People!

Shakespeare's Richard III cried "A horse!  A horse!  My kingdom for a horse!"  At CES, the commodity most in demand was power, followed closely by Wi-Fi, 3G, and SD cards!  Journalists and attendees "jacked in" like The Matrix, wherever possible, and many people came up to the iPhone Life booth asking if they could charge their iPhones!

NOTE TO EDITOR: Bring extra chargers to MacWorld and let visitors charge their phones at our booth!

We love the iPhone, but the lack of a removable battery means you need something external that doesn't add too much bulk.

The Dexim P-Flip (www.dexim.net) did the trick for me, both at CES and on the flight home.  You can even rotate the P-Flip (hence the name) letting it serve as either a horizontal or vertical stand for the tray table.  This way you can watch videos or read eBooks.

The P-Flip's reported 8 hours of talk time, 15 hours of video time, 60 hours  of music, was plenty for the 5-hour flight.  But you can never have enough power, so I was excited to learn about Dexim's new Solar-powered version (P-Flip DCA199).  With solar panels on two sides, you will be hard-pressed to run out of juice, unless you're a Vampire.  But I understand, they're pretty popular these days!

NOTE TO SELF: Bring P-Flip on trip to MacWorld!

P-Flip

Hey Todd,

I had my P-Flip, too!!  It was awsome at CES.  It charged mine up lickity-split.  I just wished it closed clam-shell with the iPhone on it.

Tracy,

I agree!  Maybe the next gen!

Now, aren't you supposed to be offline, for awhile?!

Best wishes.  See ya at MacWorld!
