HeadFinder iPhone App Review

image

The Head Finder app is a task management or schedule management app to help you organize all the different things you have to do.  This app has a very simple user interface and it seems they designed all the most common functions to be done with as little tapping and typing as possible which is a real time saver.  I’ve used several time management apps in the past and it always seemed like I was wasting more time entering my events and tasks into the app than I saved by being more organized.  With Head Finder you can have a new task entered in less than thirty seconds with their quick three tap process to create a reminder.

UniQXcess iPad App Review

image

UniQXcess is an app that in its basic format is a file viewer; however, it boasts that you can access your files from your PC remotely. Which seems pretty cool; however, there is no Mac support, which to me seems a bit ironic, really. Anyway, I wasn’t able to test the remote access of the file viewer because I have a Mac. But I was still able to access the file viewer and view local files and files from my Dropbox account.

JumiCam iPhone App Review

image

The JumiCam app allows you to view streaming video from any web cam you want with ease.  I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up the software on my PC and then connect from my phone to see what’s going on at my house.  The JumiCam app also works very well on either a 3G connection or WiFi which I was initially concerned about because streaming video can sometimes have issues on 3G.

Filamente SharePoint App Review

image

Filamente SharePoint is an app that every professional should have.  Especially for those that are constantly involved with documents; this app is perfect for your needs.  In a basic sense; Filamente allows you to upload, download, and share all of your desired documents.  Even though that doesn’t seem like much; if you do a lot of business from your iPad or iPhone, then you realize the difficulty in viewing and uploading certain documents due to format.  Luckily; this is where Filament SharePoint comes in to make things easier.

CoPilot Live Premium USA iPhone App Review

image

Everyone is looking for the best GPS app and CoPilot Live may have just taken that title.  It’s a very user-friendly app that not only has audio capabilities, but also provides additional features to make the experience safer.  It really does become your copilot without having to look at your phone or GPS while driving.

Sup! App review

image

I recently got a request to review the social netwoking app 'SUP!' and I've got to say, it's one of the nicer social calendar apps I've tried.  It's got nice custom graphics and very easy navigation with five clear buttons on the bottom and then the on calendar buttons as well.  The registration for this app was very quick and easy, took less than two minutes to get up and running.  I loved the quick tutorial; it was only about 2 minutes at the most but gave me a good understanding of the app and how to use it without wasting my time describing every tiny detail of the app.  Creating an event was nice and easy with quite a few built in event types along with the custom option.

Havoc iPhone App Review

image

Havoc is a simple game with top down graphics.  The concept is very simple; you choose one of three different monsters to play as your character.   Once you choose your character and level you are onto the game play.  For each level you are looking down on the monster who is walking straight down a path (Each level the path is different) and as you walk different items come towards you which you have to throw rocks at.  To throw rocks you just drag your finger from your monster toward the object which you want to hit.  You can pick up more rocks as they come across your path by simply tapping them.  Once you reach the end of the path you’ve completed the level and you get points based on how many targets you hit and accuracy.

U.S. Traveller iPhone App Review

image

As the name describes, U.S. Traveler is made for travelers that call the United States their home and travel to countries outside their own. The application itself is overall very simple. In opening the app, on the “Countries” tab, you are presented with a list of countries & their correlating flags. I thought the added flags next to the country names were a nice touch, especially since most people can quickly find a country based on visual representation versus textual representation. I’ve traveled from the U.S. to numerous countries – Chile, Argentina, Germany & Italy to name a few. I cannot say that I was adequately prepared for the countries I visited, but this app for sure would have helped.

OrganiDoc HD for iPad

image

Do you miss having a USB drive on your iPad for file storage via a flash drive? Well, you may not miss it anymore once you discover OrganiDoc HD. It pretty much functions like a USB flash drive would. OrganicDoc HD is an iPad file-management app designed to support a wide range of files or file formats. When using this app, you can store movie or video files, images, and various document files in a clean interface. There are three main sections that are part of the app on the upper portion of the screen. They include a documents (doc) tab, the video (media) tab, and the images (photo) tabs. Different forms of files can be segregated and imported into these tabs.

Keep Floating iPhone App Review

image

Keep Floating is an entertaining app that can definitely help to pass time.  It’s a game that is simple enough for the kids to enjoy while the increasing difficulty makes it fun for adults as well.  The game is fairly quick depending on how successful you are making it the perfect game to play while waiting, sitting around, or just for a fast fix.  Regardless of the reason; it will definitely teach your reactions to be quick and precise in order to win.
