Have An Amazing Idea For an App? Prove it and Win $1,000

Is your app the next Angry Birds? Now you have a chance to prove it.

The folks at iphoneappcafe.com have created their own version of American Idol, dubbed “App Idol,” featuring app ideas instead of singers (although singing is optional). If you have an amazing idea for an app, just submit your app idea to iPhone App Cafe, and if you win, you’ll get your app developed (for free!) by App developing firm Locassa.

In addition to getting the app developed for free, the winner will also receive a $1,000 cash prize from iGame Radio, an exclusive feature in iPhone Life magazine, mentoring and feedback from four industry experts (myself included), free use of the AppLaunch service, and additional marketing exposure through iphoneappcafe.com and their partner sites.

THIS IS AN AMAZING OPORTUNITY to make your dent in the iOS universe, even if you've never developed an app before. The last day for app idea submissions is July 24, 2012, so you’ve got just over one week to send your idea. The winner will be announced August 16th.

Good luck, and I look forward to checking out your brilliant ideas!
